From 10th to 18th September 2022, intelWATT project was presented at the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair (Greece), that was visited this year by 212,363 participants.

Guided by the new reality in the world economy, the changing environment in the fields of health and energy, but also the galloping developments in technology, this year’s event aimed to approaching new markets, promoting regional development through the model of circular economy, as well as exhibiting the most modern products, digital services, and energy alternatives.

The booth of intelWATT project was located at the stand of NCSR Demokritos at the pavillion of the Ministry of Development and Investments of Greece.

During the event, the Project Coordinator Andreas Sapalidis presented the overall concept of the project, its goals, the case studies and the partner institutions.

Our main exhibit was a large lab-scale nanofiltration hollow fiber apparatus for industrial wastewater treatment built by NCSR Demokritos for the intelWATT project with the membrane module provided by Nijhuis Saur Industries. Two smaller hollow fiber membrane modules custom built by CUT Membrane Technology, as well as some membranes manufactured by NCSR Demokritos, were also exhibited.

Our project was presented to Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, the Minister of Development and Investments of Greece, Mr. Christos Dimas, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, and Prof. Athanasios Kyriazis, the Secretary General for Research and Innovation.
